Cutting Right to the Chase

I’ll explain the details about the switch and what happened afterward. For now, here is the replacement:

• Housing of SP-Star Meteor Orange
• Spring of SP-Star Polaris Purple
• Stem of SP-Star Polaris Purple

That’s it. Two switches, simple frankenswitch. Nearly identical sound and feel. It is the same materials, made by the same company. Honestly it might even be the same molds and leaves.

What Happened?

Well, despite being available for a really long time after their initial run, the SP-Star Magical Girl (or Dark Magical Girl) switches were only a limited run. They were designed to go along with the matching keycap set, DSA Magical Girl. Since it was a limited time run, you can’t get them anymore. But I wanted more. So I found out how to make them. Now you know too!
